Carleton Etherington B.Mus, FRCO, ARAM, LRAM, Dip.RAM

Carleton Etherington was appointed Conductor of the Society in 2005.  Since 1996 he has been Organist of Tewkesbury Abbey, also directing the Abbey Choir and accompanying the Tewkesbury Abbey Schola Cantorum. He gained his B.Mus. at the Royal Academy of Music where he was also awarded the Recital Diploma.  He has won the Paisley International Organ Competition and the Royal College of Organists' 'Performer of the Year'.  He is Chairman of the Gloucestershire Organists Association and a Council Member of the Royal College of Organists.  He has performed abroad and broadcasts frequently on BBC Radio and has won considerable acclaim for his CD recordings.  He is also Director of Music of Pershore Choral. Carleton is married to Katie (soprano) and they have two young children.

Jenny Rees LWCMD, LGSM, Dip.Mus. (Open), BA (Hons)

Jenny Rees is a freelance professional musician and teacher and was appointed Accompanist of the Society in 2005. At 16 she won the composition section of the Staple Hill Eisteddfod and in 1987 completed a Sinfonietta for Wind Band whilst at the Welsh College of Music and Drama.  After teaching and working for an Open University degree she returned to composing, piano and clarinet.  Her compositions have been published by Queen's Temple publications and her 'Praise the Lord' was premiered by Cirencester Choral Society in December 2006. Jenny is half of The Berkeley Duo of flute and piano.  Jenny is married to John (bass) and they have four children - all musicians.
